Description
The partnership between Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot which has proven so successful in Bordeaux has been widely replicated in wine regions around the world where the climate and soil allows both varieties to thrive.
This well-matched pair, usually complemented by other native Bordeaux varieties, is featured in wines produced in far-flung places such as California, New Zealand and Chile, as well as closer to home – think Bergerac and Tuscany. This evening we will have the opportunity to taste a line-up of these “Bordeaux blends” side by side, beginning and ending with examples from their traditional home in the Gironde.
NB Wines for this event will be chosen from Berry Bros. & Rudd’s stocks at the time of the event, so most will be available to order afterwards.
