Description

If you've ever wondered what the difference between Prosecco and Champagne is, or wanted to see if you really can spot an English sparkling wine in a line-up of French, this event is for you.

In a series of four different flights, Barbara Drew will guide you through the sometimes mystifying world of Champagne, first explaining what sets it apart from other sparkling wines, exploring how it is made, before delving into the different styles found in the region. To make things more fun, each flight will have an interloper from outside the region.

Wines to be tasted:
Berry Bros. & Rudd Champagne by Mailly, Grand Cru
Prosecco Asolo Extra Dry, Bele Casel, Veneto
Berry Bros. & Rudd Crémant de Limoux by Antech
2011 Berry Bros. & Rudd English Sparkling Wine by Gusbourne Estate
2012 Apogee Brut, Tasmania
