Description

This evening’s focus is Spain's three top red-wine producing regions. We'll start with a brief look at white Rioja before diving in to explore, compare and contrast three very different regions. We'll examine climate, grape varieties and the role of producers, considering how these all affect the final style of the wine. Tasting a range of vintages, you’ll sample some truly iconic wines from top producers such as La Rioja Alta, Allende, Álvaro Palacios and Pago de los Capellanes, including El Picón and Aurus. The evening will end in style with a glass of the one and only Vega Sicilia. Hosted by Barbara Drew, Wine and Spirit Education Specialist
