Description

Join historian Hugh McDonald-Buchan and Fine Wine Specialist George Lacey in our cellars on St George’s Day. For the Port industry, this is the most significant of days – it is when its official thoughts on the previous year’s vintage are announced. Over the afternoon, George will explain how Port differs from other red – and white – wines made in the region, and will pour four different wines for you to try alongside your buffet lunch. This will be a chance to sample different styles including a Douro red and white and two Port styles, Tawny and Crusted. Hugh will elaborate on the history of the region while you tuck into a selection of delicious dishes. Hosted by George Lacey, Wine Education Specialist, with guest speaker Hugh McDonald-Buchanan

Dress code: smart casual

NB Wines for this event will be chosen from Berry Bros. & Rudd’s stock at the time of the event, so most will be available to order afterwards.
