Description

Elegance and finesse are the watchwords for St Julien’s fine wines, characteristics that are certainly expressed in the Barton family’s wines, which are produced at their two estates: Ch. Langoa Barton and Ch. Léoville Barton.
Since Anthony Barton took over the reins from his Uncle Ronald in the mid-80s, quality has soared at Léoville Barton and the wine has been elevated to one of the most exciting and scintillating wines in St Julien.
Ch. Langoa Barton, meanwhile, was historically considered slightly lighter and more forward than Léoville but in the last decade it has become noticeably deeper in colour and richer and more concentrated on the palate. Could Langoa Barton now be the equal of Léoville? Tonight will be a wonderful opportunity to find out as we welcome Anthony’s grandson, Damien, as our special guest for this indulgent dinner. Hosted by Felipe Carvallo, Fine Wine Specialist, with guest speaker Damien Sartorius
