Description

Made famous by Burgundy, the Pinot Noir grape can be elusive – utterly mesmerising at its best yet capable of crushing disappointment at worst. Over the course of this evening you will sample a range of wines made from the “heartbreak grape” from both Old and New Worlds, including two mature vintages from its native home, the Côte d’Or. Alongside the wines, you will enjoy four dishes designed by our Head Chef Stewart Turner to make the Pinot Noir sing. Hosted by Sophie Thorpe, Fine Wine Specialist

Wines to be tasted:
2005 Champagne Fleury, Bolero, Extra Brut
2012 Centgrafenberg Spätburgunder, Rudolf Fürst, Franconia, Germany
2011 Neudorf Vineyards, Moutere Pinot Noir, New Zealand
2009 Montsecano Pinot Noir, Casablanca Valley, Chile
2012 Au Bon Climat Sanford & Benedict Pinot Noir, Santa Ynez Valley, California, USA
1990 Pommard, Les Rugiens, 1er Cru, Domaine François Parent, Burgundy
1983 Chambolle-Musigny, Derrière la Grange, 1er Cru, Collection Bellenum
Champagne Pol Roger, Rich, Demi-Sec

Dress code: smart casual
