Description
Unique to Sicily, the Grillo grape was once a key element in Marsala, the island’s fortified wine. The decline of that wine, and Grillo’s replacement by the aromatic Inzolia, means that it is now more of a rarity. This is a great pity as Grillo makes white wines of real interest; not aromatically persuasive, but with a textured palate of liquorice, straw and orange peel.
