The 2006 Valpolicella Superiore Mithas is a stunner. The overly heavy, rich style of past years is long gone in this exceptionally beautiful, polished wine. Layers of vibrant dark fruit caress the palate all the way through to the deeply satisfying, textured finish. Hints of French oak, licorice, violets and leather linger on the close. This is a gem from Corte Sant’Alda.
