2009 Etna Rosso DOC, Az. Agr. Graci, Passopisciaro, Sicilia

Etna Rosso DOC, Az. Agr. Graci, Passopisciaro, Sicilia
Nerello Mascalese is the Nebbiolo of Sicily, and the grape once used across Europe to cut famous wine; to give them some (much needed) sun! Nerello has this mystic, almost Arabesque charm, which Alberto Graci captures to great effect. Hallucinary dried orange skin and incense notes are echoed on this deliciously svelte, sun-tanned beauty that can be drunk (too?) effortlessly when the mood takes you...great with spicy chicken or lamb dishes.

Etna Rosso DOC, Az. Agr. Graci, Passopisciaro, Sicilia
Graci, Rosso 2009 Etna Graci, Rosso 2009 Etna - Bronze like Nebbiolo. Cherries with an odd Sauvignon like cattiness. Curious. Not unpleasant - but teetering on the brink!
