1994 Berrys' Own Selection Bowmore (46%)

Berrys' Own Selection Bowmore (46%)
Bowmore is the capital of Islay and its namesake distillery nestles at the bottom of the high street on the shores of Loch Indaal. The distillery is one of the few to retain its own malting house which provides a good proportion of the peated barley used to make the Whisky.

This remarkably aromatic Whisky offers trademark peat aromas laced with warming medicinal and leafy notes. The palate resonates with sooty smoke and pepper, carried on a creamy wave with apple and toffee towards the dry, hot finale.Bowmore Distillery, Islay

Berrys' Own Selection Bowmore (46%)
A particularly pale whisky with a sweet and salty nose, with tar, ferns, new rope and mossy river stones. To taste it was sweet and light with more tar, an oily texture and a flavour that was almost but not quite menthol. It finished with fennel and green leaves.
