Pernand-Vergelesses may be one of the less fashionable appellations but in ripe years, such as this, its slightly cooler location imbues the wines with a glorious freshness and lift to accompany the roundness of the Pinot Noir fruit. This has very pure aromas, is clean as a whistle and is very long.
