Not surprisingly, this is much more deeply pitched with a cool and extremely fresh nose of crushed red berries and plum nuanced with pungent earth hints that are also reflected by the rich, voluminous and round flavors that possess a velvety texture on the explosively long finish. The tannins are unusually fine for the appellation and I like the underlying minerality.
