Benrinnes distillery lies in the shadows of the eponymous mountain close by the mighty river Spey. An earlier distillery bearing the name was washed away by floods in 1829. The current distillery sits on safer ground and employs an unusual part-triple distillation technique.

Deep nutty aromas dominate initially. There is a jammy intense fruit that emerges to give quince and bruised apples. The palate is unctuous with bags of apples, yellow fruit and citrus. The finish is long, lingering, sweet and spicy.Benrinnes Distillery, Speyside
