Free of the earthy trappings that can make Barbera d'Alba quite a mouthful, this comes from the sandy/clay soils near Canelli, Monferrato, and was vinified only in stainless-steel to preserve the freshness and softness of plummy fruit. Still finding its legs having been bottled earlier in the year, it's a juicy, fleshy expression of this versatile varietal. Dare I say one for Spag Bol?
