The Cubillo vineyard has both clay and limestone in its soil profile; the wine is marked by an unusually high 25 % of Garnacha to complement the 65% of Tempranillo, with Mazuelo and Graciano as the minority shareholders. The 2005 is appropriately rich, generous and fruity, with a nose of cigar box and ripe damsons, which cedes to a finely balanced palate with firm balancing acidity and ripe tannins,courtesy, respectively, of the altitude of the the vines and the quality of the vintage.
