Condado De Haza used to be somewhat anonymous, overshadowed by its more famous sibling, Pesquera. This is no longer the case. Aged in American oak and made from 100% Tinto Fino (as Tempranillo is known in these parts) the wine is richly coloured and powerful of aroma with notes of blackberry, licorice, tar and mocha all evidenced. A sumptuous mouthful, with balancing mineral acidity at the back in the name of self-restraint.
