"What we do in life echoes in eternity" as the magnificent Maximus Decimus Meridius once related. I'm not sure it will last quite that long but all hail to Jean-Charles Cazes and the Lynch Bages team for creating a truly inspirational offering this year. It is dense and rich but seductive, with a terrific finish. A real thumbs up! It should be well within in the ‘fill your sandals’ price range too.

Sleek and pure, with seamless cassis, blackberry and bitter cherry notes laced tightly with iron and sweet spice. Long and pure. Probably the best second wine yet from here.
