In keeping with the rest of his Sparkling Rose and Chenin Blanc range, Nicholas Paget catches this fresh, open-hearted expression of Cabernet Franc just right! I sense it's been vinified in stainless steel to preserve the wine's freshness. Spring violets, some hay perhaps, are what decorates the fragrant nose. Banish all preconceptions about Loire Cabernet Franc, this one paints a completely new picture. I appreciate and applaud it's honesty, its refreshingly low alcohol (12.5%), its unpretentiousness. There's bags of juicy, purple plum crunch, darker fruit character, subtle succulence and offers great value. Drinking now with river fish! Bravo Nicholas!
