While Cascina Luisin's Rabaja is an uncompromising, muscular affair that needs time in bottle to reach its its apogee, their Sori Paolin vineyard is much softer, silkier and generously fleshy thanks to its predominantly sandy soils. It's delicate, not foursquare, on the nose with engaging sunny summer aromas, baked gently by the hot 2003 rays. With its dreamy, fluid and generally light airs, the meek tannins shrouded in 2003 sweet fruit that makes this Barbaresco delicious even now, and for another decade.
