Berrys' Own Selection Glen Spey
Glen Spey is located to the south of the town of Rothes and was converted from an old mill in 1885. The ruins of the Leslie clan's castle perch on the hillside above the distillery. Water for condensing is drawn from the Rothes Burn whereas water for distilling comes from the Dounie Burn.

This fine single malt from 1981 has considerable depth, giving sweet grassy aromas, some smokiness licorice and tea. The silky palate delivers buttery honeyed notes with soft ripe fruit. There is a smoky element that firms up the flavour  and adds dimension. The finish is smooth, lingering a pretty  peaty.Glen Spey Distillery, Speyside
