Once described as ‘Petrus for the poor’ this is always a very sensual wine, with plenty of charm and elegance but without the immense depth and concentration of Pomerol’s greatest estate. In 2008 the wine remains as pretty as ever, with lots of red fruit (almost Burgundian in nature) alongside the unmistakable tannic structure and style of well crafted claret. 2012-2017.
