2007 Brunello di Montalcino, La Serena, Tuscany

Brunello di Montalcino, La Serena, Tuscany
Whiter, tufo soils give great heat radiation to the vines that produce La Serena’s Brunello, as well as added maturity and imbuing the wines with a minerally structure. The warmth of the 2007 vintage has delivered a luscious, kirsch rich black cherry and chocolate roll to this wine.
David Berry Green, BBR Buyer, August 2011 La Serena di Andrea Mantengoli

Brunello di Montalcino, La Serena, Tuscany
The 2007 Brunello di Montalcino is beautiful. A large-scaled, opulent wine, the 2007 captures the personality of the vintage while retaining fabulous balance and proportion. Layers of dark fruit, mocha, spices and new leather build effortlessly to the huge, palate staining finish. This is a fabulous showing. Anticipated maturity: 2015-2025.
