The 2007 Barolo Monvigliero is relatively plush in this vintage, not surprising considering the characteristics of the year. Some of the Monvigliero’s high-toned fragrance is missing, but in exchange this Barolo delivers a more fruit-forward, intense expression of Nebbiolo laced with sweet red cherries, flowers and mint. This should drink well right out of the gate. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2019.
