2005 Vosne-Romanée, Les Malconsorts, 1er Cru, Nicolas Potel
|
Here the nose is ripe but is dominated by distinct floral notes, particularly violet and rose petal plus red and dark berry fruit aromas that complement the textured, intense and more obviously muscled big-bodied flavors that deliver more power but less depth and about the same length. We'll see with time but despite the serious punch, it would appear that the Gaudichots is the more gifted of the two.
