Domaine Michel Lafarge is one of the great domaines of Burgundy, with Michel himself still extremely active in his 80s, supporting his very able son Frédéric who is in charge now. The vineyards are farmed biodynamically, even to the extent of running hens through the vineyard to eat up any little pests which may be lurking!

This bottling is a blend from several different sites within Volnay, the village which makes the most stylish red wines of the Côte de Beaune, but elegance does not preclude weight of fruit. Lafarge wines, which do not rely on modern trends such as new oak, always deliver body as well as flavour and have the capacity to age very well.Domaine Michel Lafarge
