From  ancient vines just south of Vienne, perched above the communication arteries which entwine the great river, a distinctive Syrah, more `brune' than `blonde' in essence, that is to say, powerful, almost earthy, with black fruits and charcuterie evidenced.

Supple in texture, but with nice drive to the raspberry ganache, lavender, mineral and sweet spice flavors. The very long, silky finish has latent richness and fine, embedded acidity. Should flesh out nicely in the cellar. Syrah. Best from 2009 through 2014
