Dalmore 15 years old single malt whisky is better than most of the tourist brochures available in the sense that it literally transports you to an Indian spices market from the first sniff with some soft curry powder and earthy notes. It has definitely something culinary combined with other notes suggesting leather shoes. Smooth and oily on the palate, it offers a mixture of spices like cinnamon, paprika and dark pepper, milk chocolate, toffee and sweet plummy fruit. Very easy and gentle it finishes nicely with some long and soft chocolate notes.

Dalmore 15 yrs is aged in 100% sherry casks (matusalem, apostoles and amoroso) that convey a pronounced nutty character, with rich fruit cake and candied orange flavours. Complexity levels rise as the fruit recedes and the spice flavours (cloves, cinamon, ginger) arrive on the finish. A charming Highland single malt.Dalmore Distillery, Highlands
