Propiedad is a blend of Garnacha, Tempranillo, Mazuelo and Graciano from Rioja Baja. It is a single-estate wine and the flagship cuvée of the property that has been enjoying a renaissance ever since the acclaimed Alvaro Palacios, of the Priorat fame, turned his attention to his family property in Rioja. This was a decade ago, and progress has been impressive.

Propiedad’s nose beguiles immediately with mulberry, cloves, pepper and coffee aromas, then dried herbs providing the bass notes. Medium-bodied, with polished, ripe tannins the wine seduces with a generous mouthful of damson, kirsch, spice box, licorice and black pepper, to name but a few of the crescendo of flavours.. The 2008, fruit of a relatively mild vintage, is approachable now, yet with great development potential over the next 8 years.
