Auxey-Duresses Blanc, Benjamin Leroux is a touch reductive at first due to being bottled under screwcap, but it freshens up very rapidly. The grapes come from vineyards adjacent to Meursault, which shows in the undoubted class, and there is a nice touch of exuberance here.

One of Benjamin Leroux’s signature wines, this Auxey-Duresses is like a lively version of a mini Meursault. A little touch of orange blossom adds to the complexity of the nose while fruit flavours build steadily to the back of the palate. A thoroughly energetic wine, this will stay fresh for several years.
