Berrys' Notes

Jean Michel ferments 60% of his Condrieu in tank, the balance in wood. We feel he has got the balance just about right in 2009, capturing the sensuous viscosity of this naturally exuberant grape but not succumbing to self-indulgence. The floral notes are thus conspicuous and a shaft of fine acidity runs through the piece lending structure and precision. Notes of peach, dried apricot and honeysuckle are, needless to say, all present and correct!
