This new vintage of Berrys’ Australian Chardonnay continues in the same style as its predecessors; we seek a restrained elegant wine rather than an oaky blockbuster. The nose displays citrus freshness with hints of white peach; on the palate there is the ripeness one expects from Australia, with flavours of melon and pineapple, but tempered with crisp acidity and hints of lemon zest. This would work well with grilled or fried fish and most shellfish.

Water white. Floral zesty nose. Not a scrap of spare flesh! Almost Sauvignon-like. Very clean. Much racier than a Mâcon would be. Not emaciated. Interesting reflection of the current style – so non Bridget Jones…
