Always a favourite of mine for its outstanding value for money. Pecan Stream is the junior label from the famed Waterford Estate in Stellenbosch, producing wines which are readily approachable young and which deliver vibrant fruit character in a fresh, lively style.

Chenin Blanc really thrives in South Africa, producing wines with crisp acidity alongside a much more tropical fruit character than is found from young Chenin produced in its European heartland, the Loire Valley.  This youthful example shows a lovely floral, fruity nose, considerable zing on the palate and an attractive, balanced finish.
