2009 Ch. Moulin St. Georges, St. Emilion

Ch. Moulin St. Georges, St. Emilion
Fruit-driven and very concentrated, the 2009 Ch. Moulin St Georges exudes plush, lush and ripe fruit whilst maintaining the elegance of a wine from the Ausone stable. Melting tannins give way to a long, juicy finish.Château Moulin Saint-Georges

A real explosion of fruit on the nose and palate - raspberry, cherry. Almost fruit liqueur. Smooth, creamy palate with length and freshness on the finish.

Bright crimson. Flattering and rich and very very sweet. Taken to the limit of ripeness? Rather hard work on the finish. Not genetle, that's for sure! Really tough and drying on the end.

Ch. Moulin St. Georges, St. Emilion
Consistently a good value pick among shrewd consumers, this wine, from one of the estates Alain Vauthier owns in St.-Emilion beside the famous Ausone, has a dark purple color, a big, sweet kiss of black currants, raspberries, crushed rock, and floral notes. It is medium to full-bodied, displays good, sweet tannin, and comes across as slightly unevolved and may have just finished malolactic fermentation. I am not so sure it is as strong as his 2005, but this wine is very promising nevertheless.

Offers blueberry and mineral on the nose. Full-bodied, with a tight tannin structure and juicy fruit. Bright acidity. Very lively.
