This is also highly complex and pure but here there is more earth emphasis (which is interesting as Croix Noires is a direct continuation of Fremiers) with slightly riper, pure and extremely fresh red raspberry and black cherry fruit aromas that complement perfectly the dense, serious, mouth coating and seductively textured tautly muscled flavors that culminate in a palate staining and explosive finish. This doesn't have the overall refinement of the Fremiers but it's not far off. Well worth considering.
