The Prager estate’s flagship vineyard, lost high up among the craggy rock face, this is a recently replanted site (in 2002) that boasts nearly 15,000 plants per hectare thanks to single stake ‘alberello’ trellising (alla Romana). The clones used come from Toni Bodenstein’s own stock of 100 or so ancient examples, accumulated for just this reason. The results are startling: soaring notes of lime flowers, allied with zip & a cleansing fluidity that balances perfectly with the 7 grams of residual sugar. Drinking till 2019+
