From the best plots amongst Bonniare’s impressive (and I suspect unprecedented, for a grower at least) 17 hectares of Grand Cru in the Champagne village of Cramant, this is prestigious indeed. With ripe aromas, hinting at honeysuckle and quince, then a palate with plenty of autolytic depth, the wine has a rich buttery core and a fine stone fruit personality , which drives onto a powerful finish.
