Investigating Burgundy in 2006, Fine Wine Tutored Tasting, 10 Feb

Sara Guiducci from our Fine Wine Team has always been passionate about Burgundy, and 2006 is one of her favourite vintages. As with Bordeaux it lived for a long time in the shadow of 2005, yet despite the difficulties of the weather that year, there are some excellent wines, with the best beautifully fragrant and showing a certain attractive lushness. Work in the vineyard was crucial, and therefore individual producers’ styles are key in this year.

Come along tonight and Sara will tell you why she prefers 2006 to most other vintages of the last decade. She will illustrate her reasoning through a stellar series of wines: whites, reds, Premiers and Grands Crus are all represented, as are top growers like Leflaive, Comtes Lafon and Rousseau. This is what Burgundy should be about!
