The Wines of Alsace, A Fine Wine Tutored Tasting, 17th February 2012

Alsace is a region famed for its stunning scenery, exquisite cuisine and richly fragrant wines. This evening you will be taken on a journey through a selection of its classics, including the ‘noble’ grape varieties Riesling, Gewurztraminer, Muscat and Pinot Gris. You will also have the chance to explore the more esoteric Sylvaner and Pinot Blanc, and will learn about the controversies of Alsace’s Grand Cru vineyard system.

The evening will end with the chance to taste a special sweet ‘Sélection de Grains Nobles’ from top grower Olivier Humbrecht MW.
