2003 Ch. La Mission Haut-Brion, Pessac-Léognan

Ch. La Mission Haut-Brion, Pessac-Leognan
This is one of La Mission’s best ever wines, certainly rivaling, if not surpassing its 2000. Many even preferred it to its sister Ch. Haut–Brion in 2003. Made from 52% Cabernet Sauvignon, 39% Merlot and 9% Cabernet Franc this is a wonderfully refined, seamless wine with every element working in complete synergy. A beguiling nose of black cherries and pain-grillé is reflected on the intense palate, accompanied by great purity and tobacco notes. This is absolutely superb, but with only 5000 cases produced in 2003 it will be difficult to get hold of.Château La Mission-Haut-Brion
