This One Day Introduction to Bordeaux is perfect for those who don’t have a vast knowledge of Bordeaux, but would like to. Explore this fascinating region in more detail today with an introductory look at all the major styles, from dry whites and entry level reds to some key premium examples from the Left and Right Banks, before ending on a sweet note with a drop of golden Sauternes. You will also have the chance to learn more about the historically-influenced trade and classification structures unique to Bordeaux. Following the morning tutored session, you will descend to our magnificent Napoleon Cellar for a refreshing glass of Champagne and a truly delicious four-course luncheon à la Bordelaise where you will have the chance to match with food a further fine selection of the region’s wines, to include a top-quality dry white as well as mature reds and Sauternes.
