South of the main Côte d'Or, the vineyards are interspersed with other forms as agriculture, with just the more favoured slopes being dedicated to vineyards. Few wines from the Côte Chalonnaise are designed for long ageing, but there are many attractive red and white wines at affordable prices, and one unique appellation, Bouzeron, which is for the Aligoté grape alone.

With a graceful bouquet including a touch of lime blossom, this is quite full-bodied for a Rully but with finesse, precision and a persistent finish. This is a very well made wine and would wonderfully accompany a variety of seafood.
