Sablet

See Sablet producers

Sablet is a pretty commune on the northern border of Gigondas which can append its name to that of the Côtes du Rhônes Villages appellation, but should probably be an AC in its own right. It produces red, white and rosé wines that are attractive, ever-improving and offer consistently good value and quality.

The reds are by far the most common, with a soft, fruity style and nice purity; they are ideal for early drinking. The full-bodied whites are extremely food-friendly but work equally well as an aperitif, while the rosés are the perfect summer tipple.
