2001 Champagne

Egregious is a good word to describe the vintage in 2001 in Champagne; a rather poor Spring was followed by an extremely poor summer and a harvest that was blighted by heavy rain and a severe shortage of sunshine.

Very few vintage wines made, for obvious reasons!
