2010 Australia
2010 proved to be an outstanding wine vintage in South Australia, Western Australia and Victoria, probably the best since the excellent 2006.
Yields were down slightly, but the combination of a heat spike in November and rain at just the right times created ideal conditions for supreme quality fruit.
For New South Wales wines the vintage quality is more mixed, with rain causing some uneven ripening in the red vineyards, so it's important to select carefully.
