2010 Argentina

2010 is a very promising vintage in the vineyards of Argentina's premium wine regions, namely Mendoza and Patagonia.

The very best vineyards are situated at altitude in the Uco and Agrelo Valleys of Mendoza, where a combination of November frost and a very dry ripening season with a brief shut-down of the vines resulted in measured sugar accumulation and fine balanced phenolics.

Alcohol levels are a shade lower than usual which is no bad thing and the resulting wines combine fresh acidity with silky textures.
