Your next Wine Club Wines will be delivered during the week commencing on the 20th July 2009. If you haven't done so already, it would be extremely helpful to let us know where or with whom your wines can be left in the event of you being out when they arrive.

The Wine Club Annual Walkaround Tasting Review

I hope that if you came to the Wine Club tasting on Thursday 16th April you enjoyed the evening as much as I did. This tasting is now an annual fixture on the Wine Club calendar and is a great chance to try 24 wines from across the Wine Club range as well as meeting other members and checking out our 300-year-old cellars.

Highlights of the evening included the Artadi Pagos Viejos Rioja from Spain that a lot of people really liked and placed orders for. As an everyday drinking red, Plan de Dieu, Côtes du Rhône Villages from Ferraton also went down very well.

As with the Wine Club cases, the wines on show at walkaround tastings demostrate the variety of wines in the Club, perhaps including a few wines that you would never normally buy but find out you really like! We are delighted to offer to members all these wines at the Wine Club price (15% off bottle retail price) until the end of May.

2007 Rhône En Primeur

The 2007 Rhône en primeur campaign is offering a truly great vintage and the wines are uniformly excellent. Simon Field MW, Berrys’ Rhône buyer, visited the region to taste the wines earlier this year. Read Simon’s vintage report here and and our recommendations for the best wines of the vintage.

2008 Bordeaux En Primeur

Bordeaux 2008 is a vintage like no other we have ever tasted and combines high levels of ripeness with incredible purity of fruit. The nearest comparisons are a cross between 2004 and 2006 but with the late harvest ripeness of 1988.

Wine Club Events

We offer an exciting calendar of Wine Club events for 2009. The cellars beneath our wine shop at 3 St James’s Street are the perfect venue for an evening exploring the world of wine with like-minded wine enthusiasts, Berrys’ Masters of Wine and wine producers too.
