Cellar Luncheons

Long Room Luncheons

These exclusive, intimate luncheons for twelve, where the very finest wine and food is served, are set in the elegant and intimate
surroundings of The Long Room, situated on the first floor of our historically important William and Mary townhouse. Once inside The Long Room which has recently been refurbished by Interior Designer Nina Campbell, you will enjoy Berrys' very special hospitality at one of our unique luncheons. (Subject to availability & maximum 2 tickets per customer)

Cellar Luncheons

Tucked away beneath our shop in the heart of central London, the cellars were once the largest working cellars in the capital. In 1999 they were converted to create London's most exclusive fine dining venue. Housed within the impressive vaulted Napoleon Cellar, so named after Napoleon III, who plotted his return to France here whilst in exile in England between 1838 and 1848, you will be treated to a truly unforgettable luncheon. (Subject to availability & maximum 2 tickets per customer)

If you are buying Berrys’ wine event tickets as a gift they may be presented in a smart navy and blue gift box tied with white ribbon.

This event is at odds with the usual running of a Berrys’ Cellar Luncheon as your Champagne aperitif will be served 12.15pm so that you can meet and be entertained by the charismatic Valentino Monticello. Valentino is an artist, but oils and gouache do not figure in his portraits and scenes, instead they are created from cut out wine labels in the form of unique collages. His passion for fine wine doesn’t end there – in the mid-1980s he was head sommelier in the famous Harry’s Bar. Over an Italian-inspired lunch, you will be treated to amazing tales of life, opera and art, whilst indulging in wines that have inspired Valentino’s great artistry. MORE

There are few places more suited to the vine than Alsace. Colmar, the region’s viticultural capital, tops the French sunshine league, while the overarching presence of the Vosges Mountains makes for low rainfall and a rich tapestry of soils. At this stunning luncheon you’ll discover the diversity, complexity and sheer brilliance of Alsace’s wines through tasting an array of its finest Grand Cru wines. MORE

The 1855 Classification is the most famous and influential wine classification in existence. It was conceived, on the request of Napoleon III, for the 1855 Exposition Universelle in Paris. A list of the best wines was created, using a system that was probably as good as any, namely the market price of the wines, with the premier des premiers and most expensive being Ch. Lafite. It is astonishing that what was meant as a snapshot of the châteaux of the Médoc has remained sacrosanct ever since. Lance Jefferson has chosen some of the finest and most interesting examples of Cru Classé wines for you to experience over a sublime, leisurely lunch. MORE
