Berry Bros. & Rudd's examination courses are devised by the Wine & Spirit Education Trust and are formally and internationally recognised courses that are followed by those entering the wine and hospitality trades. These enjoyable courses are ideal also for those who seek official recognition of their achievements. Emphasis is on personal tuition and group discussion in Berrys' unique, historic, intimate and inspiring surroundings.

As well as delicious picnic-style lunches, refreshments are served during the two sessions each day. The course ends with a celebratory glass of Champagne to toast your achievement.

The course cost covers WSET examination fees, WSET course materials, WSET accredited tuition, use of Berrys' equipment and Berrys' tasting samples. Course materials and mock papers are sent to you you two months before the course begins.

WSET® Level 2
Intermediate Certificate in Wines, Spirits and Other Alcoholic Beverages

Venue: The Pickering Cellar, 3 St James's Street, SW1

The course cost covers WSET examination fees, WSET course materials, WSET accredited tuition, use of Berrys' equipment and Berrys' tasting samples.Course materials are sent to you in advance after registration.

  • The WSET® Intermediate Certificate can be comfortably achieved by those with little or no previous wine knowledge
  • A selection of wines will be tasted at each session, offering a broad introduction to all wines, spirits and other alcoholic beverages.
  • The course also teaches tasting techniques
  • Entire Course Syllabus in eight sessions
  • Examination is sat in the ninth session by way of a 50-question multiple-choice paper to be completed within one hour.

WSET® Level 3
Advanced Certificate in Wines Spirits and Other Alcoholic Beverages

Venue: The Pickering Cellar, 3 St James's Street, SW1

The course cost covers WSET examination fees, WSET course materials, WSET accredited tuition, use of Berrys' equipment and Berrys' tasting samples.

  • This course is perfect for wine connoisseurs who wish to learn about wines and spirits in a rigorous and structured manner, and gain an
    internationally recognised wine and spirit qualification. 
  • It is also aimed at people employed in the drinks and hospitality industries in a supervisory capacity, needing core information to advise management and customers with authority and make informed selections of wines and spirits. 
  • It is a rigorous course and requires intensive study and preparation
  • Every day two sessions are covered, except on the final day when the examination is held
  • Candidates are advised to hold the WSET® Level 2 Intermediate Certificate in Wines and Spirits before studying for this qualification.

Cancellation policy applies. Refunds minus course materials are given upon cancellation within the cancellation policy. Entry Requirements for Examination Courses: Candidates must be over the legal minimum age for the retail purchase of alcoholic beverages in the country where the examination is being held, or be preparing for the examination as a part of an approved full-time programme of study, or have obtained parental consent, but will not be eligable to complete the assessment for unit 2. (Entry requirements may vary according to APP). Candidates are advised to hold the WSET® Level 2 Intermediate Certificate in Wines and Spirits before studying for the WSET® Level 3 Advanced Certificate in Wines and Spirits.
