As I settled down to plan which wines I
would be drinking this Christmas, my mind wandered to my
oenophile ancestors and in particular what they were drinking in the Decembers
of yesteryear. So, let your mind drift back to 1698, the year our St James's
Street shop was founded, and discover the spirit
