What device do I need to use the app?
The Android mobile app will work on compatible Android devices from v5.1.1 on level 22 (Lollipop) to v9.0 level 28 (Pie).

SIGNING IN

Do I need an internet connection to use the app?
Yes, you need an internet connection use the app.

How do I sign in to the app?
You can sign in using your usual Berry Bros. & Rudd account details and password. You can subsequently sign in using Touch ID or Face ID if these are enabled on your device.


HOME

How is the "Wines in your cellar" figure calculated?
This is the total number of unsplit cases in your cellar. This figure does not include any wines you hold for other people.

How is the "Cellar valuation" figure calculated?
This is the approximate current value of cellared wines based on today's Liv-ex market price. We are only able to include wines for which market data is available. Some of your wines may not be included in this figure.

What does "Recently added" mean?
This refers to the most recent bottles you have purchased or had transferred into your cellar.

How do I see more of my recently added wines?
You can scroll to see more recently added wines, or alternatively tap "View all".


MY CELLAR

How can I find wines in my cellar?
There are several ways to search for wines in your cellar:

  • You can scroll up and down through your wines.
  • You can tap the filter icon and use the terms to narrow your search.
  • You can tap the search icon and search by keyword, such as producer or vintage.


  • What is the difference between "My listed price" and "Lowest listed price"?
    "My listed price" – this is price you have set for your wine on BBX.
    "Lowest listed price" – this is the lowest price this wine is available for anywhere on BBX.

    How do I see more details on a cellared wine?
    Tap the image of your wine to find out more information, including tasting notes, scores and reviews.


    MANAGING MY WINES

    Can I buy wines on the app?
    No, you can’t currently buy wine on the app. If you wish to buy wine, tap the "Shop bbr.com" link on the "More" screen (this can be found on the footer menu). This will take you to the Berry Bros. & Rudd website.

    How do I arrange to have my wine delivered?
    Tap the "Deliver" button underneath the product. This will take you to the relevant section of your account on bbr.com, where you will automatically be signed in to your account.


    BBX

    How do I list a wine on BBX?
    To list a wine for sale on BBX, tap the "List on BBX" button underneath the wine. You will then be prompted to add the price and the quantity of cases you want to sell.

    How do I change a BBX listing?
    Tap the "Edit listing"' button. Then enter your new listing price and/or case quantity and confirm your changes.

    How do I delete a BBX listing?
    Tap the "Edit listing" button. Then tap the "Remove" button.

    Can you notify me when bids are placed on my wine?
    Yes. To set up notifications, tap the ‘Edit listing’ button and scroll down to ‘Bidding alerts’. You can choose how often you receive alerts, and specify any thresholds (for example, % above Liv-Ex price).

    If you already have a cellar-wide alert in place, you’ll see this next to the wine. If you want to change the alert for this wine specifically, enter the new criteria here. Your cellar-wide alert will remain in place for all other wines.

    Can I set or change cellar-wide alert settings?
    No, unfortunately not. These need to be set on bbr.com.

    How do I accept a BBX bid?
    Tap 'View Bid'. Next confirm the case quantity and tap the ‘Accept bid’ button.

    How do I reject a BBX bid?
    Tap 'View Bid'. Next tap on the ‘Reject bid’ button.

    How I do I see my BBX listings?
    Tap ‘BBX’ in the footer menu. You can see all your current BBX listings under the ‘Listed’ tab.

    How do I view bids on my wines?
    Tap ‘BBX’ in the footer menu. Any bids can be seen under the ‘All bids’ tab header

    How do I find wines to bid on? Tap “BBX bidding” in the footer menu. You can then use keyword search or filters to refine the list of wines

    How do I place a bid? Click through to the product page and then tap “Place a bid”.

    How do I edit a bid? Tap ”BBX” in the footer menu and select the bid you wish to edit under the “My bids” tab. Then tap “Manage bid”: you can then edit the bidding price and quantity.

    How do I cancel a bid? Tap “BBX” in the footer menu. Select the bid you wish to edit under the ”My bids” tab, then tap “Remove bid”.

    How do I view bids I've placed? Tap “BBX” in the footer menu. Any bids you've placed can be seen under the “My bids” tab.


    VALUATION

    Can I view market valuation data for my wine?
    Yes. Where market data is available, you can see it by tapping on the wine’s image in your cellar. The “Market valuation” section is displayed near the top of the screen underneath the wine name.

    What do the different values mean?

    BBX lowest price – This is the lowest and cheapest BBX list price for a wine currently being listed on BBX. This is updated each time a new wine is added to BBX.

    BBX highest bid – This is the highest BBX list price for a wine currently being listed on BBX. This is updated each time a new wine is added to BBX.

    BBX last transaction – The “BBX last transaction price” is the most recent price for which a wine was traded on BBX (within the last 30 days).

    Liv-ex market price – This is the average price advertised by leading EU merchants on Liv-ex in the last 30 days.

    Wine-Searcher price – This is the lowest price currently listed on Wine-Searcher by a UK merchant.

    How do I view my account details?
    Tap on 'More' in the footer menu then click on 'My account'.

    What account information is available to view?

  • Your account number
  • Your account manager (if applicable)
  • Your balance
  • Your account details (this takes you to bbr.com)
  • Your recent order details
  • Your Cellar Plan details (if applicable)


  • How do I switch accounts?
    If you have more than one account, the app will sign you into your default account. To switch to a different account, tap 'Switch accounts' on the 'My account details' screen and choose the account you wish to switch to.

    How do I manage app notifications?
    When you install the app you will be asked whether you would like to receive app notifications. The only app notifications you will receive are alerts for bids on your cellared wines. If you have asked to receive notifications but wish to subsequently opt-out, then tap 'Manage app notifications' on the 'My account details' screen.

    How do I contact Berry Bros. & Rudd for help and support with the app or suggestions for how to improve the app?
    Tap 'More' in the footer menu, then tap 'About the app' link and then the Help & support section. Your comments will be sent directly to the team.

    How do I rate the app?
    Tap the 'More' link in the footer menu. Tap the 'About the app' link and then 'Rate this app'.

    How do I view the Berry Bros. & Rudd blog on the app?
    Tap the 'More' link in the footer menu, and then tap 'Blog'.
